product review: Myra E Daily Sun Protect Facial Moisturizer

sorry for the super super late post and for going awol, the last few days in manila have been very busy and hectic (will post pics of those soon) and now, im finally home!!! whoot!

anyhow, i recently bought this new product here in cebu, ive been looking for it in manila but either it sells out so fast or they haven't distributed it in stores yet. to my surprise, it was here! so yay! anyway, summer's started and i think this is the best time to really stress on the spf. although i put on sunblock everyday, even when it's not summer, and if you guys dont do that, i think you should start, even more so now that its super hot.

i've been a myra e user since they came out with their first moisturizer, i like it cause it's light and non-greasy, moisturizes yet doesnt make my face oily aaanddd is cheap! i usually put on sunblock right after but sometimes, especially on extra hot days, my skin kinda gets oily, and i hate that, plus i sometimes forget to put sunblock on if i'm in a hurry, or im too lazy haha. so you'd imagine how excited i was to find out that myra finally came out with their sunblock/moisturizer!

i think it's great, i like the texture, not to greasy, and i tried it out, it feels like a normal moisturizer and doesnt leave that white mask you get after sunblock. i think everyone should try it out, its definitely worth a try, and it's a lot cheaper than some facial sunblocks out there (about Php 89.50 or around $4.50?)

pros:
- non oily or greasy
- light
- doesn't leave a white mask
- doesn't dry shiny
- gets absorbed by the skin right away
- saves the extra step of moisturizer and sunblock, since it's two in one
- it's cheap!

cons:
- has a flowery smell, but other than that, it's great!

olsen inspired/my your eyes look huge!

i always wondered how the olsen twins can pull off that smokey/not so smokey, i-look-like-i-just-got-out-of-bed-but-i-still-look-great look, it's sexy sultry yet unfussy, and so, i decided to try it out today, emphasize on the word TRY haha what i got was a more wide, rounded eye look, i'm not sure if it's anything like the olsens, but i think i kinda like it heehee the photos don't show it that much, but its much smokier in real life, and maybe a bit heavy for day, i think it makes a glam night look ;)

ooh ooh, i was rummaging through my makeup box and i found my l'oreal volume shocking mascara, it's super heavy, it gives you that fake lash look, which is great i guess for todays inspiration, i remember setting this aside,i don't really remember why i did that though, it gives dramatic results, and i mean really dramatic, which is a really really really good thing if you ask me ;))

i used:

- l'oreal bare mineral foundation in n6
- coastal scents 78 pc. version 2 palette (gold tones and dark blue)
- dior brown eyeshadow (i'm not really sure about the color, its from an old palette given to me a lone time ago)
- fanny serrano gel eyeliner
- l'oreal volume shocking mascara in waterproof black

i didnt really finish the whole look, since i had to study for my history finals..heehee

skin is still not cooperating.sigh

silk spectre inspired

all of you know i saw watchmen last week, and if you haven't you should really do, anyway, i've been wanting to try out silk spectre's/sally jupiter's look, the mom, not the young silk spectre, haha, for some reason, i really liked her make-up, with the silver eyeliner and heavy lashes...so, finally having the time to do a look, i decided to try it out, its not exact, giving that we have different eye types, but it's as close as i can get...lemme know if you tried her look out too!

i used:
- urban decay primer potion

- coastal scents 78 pc. version 2 palette- browns and golds
- coastel scents silver gel liner (04)
- maybelline unstoppable mascara in blac
k

my skin has been going crazy from the stress and junk...it's still recovering.sigh.

not as amazing as silk spectre's, but this'll have to do haha

loading up on water

my apologies for going awol for some time, it's almost finals week and everything's been crazy with papers, plays and tests so i haven't been going out nor have i been posting anything ;/ anyway, i tried making a video tutorial the other day, but something was wrong with the recorder and i got frustrated...ill redo those soon, and promise i'll be posting new looks as soon as im free, hopefully i'll get to do that tomorrow ;)

anyhow the late nights with junk and soda and running on chocolate bars on long days has taken toll on my skin, and now...it's not a very pretty site...i got so fed up with my unhealthy routine that i tried to detox...but that kinda seemed impossible since i needed the energy for school...so the next best thing i could do was load up on water with some lemon in it, and i really mean load up, i drink about two cups of hot water with lemon in the morning, and two more at night, and bottles and bottles of water throughout the day, or at least i try to. and i think it's helping. my skin's a bit better now, and it seems a bit clearer compared to the past few days, im definitely keeping this up and hopefully, my skin will clear up again. so remember, load up on H20, its good for you! haha

posting soon, promise!

product review: L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise Gentle Lip and Eye Makeup Remover For Waterproof Makeup

that was a mouthful haha anyhow, i'm one of those people who absolutely cannot go to bed unless all traces of makeup have disappeared. i cannot sleep even if a slight stain from mascara or eyeliner is still visible, no matter how sleepy or tired i am, even if it's at the wee hours in the morning, i simply must remove all of it( i know, im oc that way)anyway, i've been using baby oil for quite some time as my eye makeup remover, and it does work, and its really cheap too, but the things i dont like about it are: it gives you that blurry hazy vision after, it can clog pores, and i have to wash my face with baby shampoo to break down the oil before the facial wash, and even after that, there's still some oil left on my lids...basically it takes a lot of time to remove it. even if it doesnt really take that long, it feels like it is when youre cranky and sleepy ;/

i heard a lot of reviews about this, and finally decided to try it out, and the verdict? i dont think i'm going back to baby oil anytime soon

this formula separates into two parts when the bottle sits still for some time, a blue oil looking one at the top, and a clear liquid one at the bottom, youre supposed to shake it till they combine and then use a cotton pad to put it on your lids

i got mine from a drugstore called mercury drug,
and it is a bit pricey 395 pesos or around $8 compared to baby oil which is priced about 30 pesos or less than a dollar, but it's cheaper than high end brands like lancome, shu and whatnot

pros:
- packaging lessens spillage especially when youre going around and putting it in your suitcase and stuff
- great for sensitive eyes
- removes make up really really fast, like un
believably fast
- removes waterproof eyeliner and mascara like they weren't waterproof at all
- no tugging involved

- my lashes didn't fall off
- didn't sting my eyes
- didnt leave a greasy oily feeling meaning: a.) w
on't clog pores and b.) no more extra step of baby shampoo wash! yay!
- cheaper compared to high end branded product
s that work

cons:
- a bit pricey compared to local products

but other than that, it's great!

what it looks like before you shake it

what it looks like after

will i be buying it next time?
most probably yes, unless i find a cheaper and better one, but so far, it looks like this'll be at the top of my list ;
)

pardon the photos i need an a.) a new camera and b.) a photographer

movie night!

finally movie night pushed through! haha we saw watchmen, it was a really long movie, 3 hours i think, but it was cool nonetheless, anyhow...i was lazy and didn't really want to make such a fuss with the make up, so i decided for simple winged eyes and some red lippies instead. people kept on giving me weird looks at the mall, well, xept for the make up shop people, i think they were the only ones who understood haha, well, my date too of course haha ;p

i used:
- l'oreal mineral foundation in N3
- udpp in sin
- flesh and gold tones from my coastal scents 78 piece palette
- faceshop eyeliner pen
- maybelline volume express in waterproof black
- nars blush in orgasm (but just a tiny tiny tiny bit)
- wet n wild lipstick in 509A (thanks mum!)

i was kinda paranoid of the lipstick smearing all over...i think i need to buy those setting long lasting lip thingers

p.s
sorry about the bad pictures AGAIN ...i really need someone to take my photo ;/

hope you're having a good weekend! ;)
